It is vital that you thoroughly read through the instructions BELOW. We understand that not everyone is a hairstylist or make-up artist, but do your best to follow the instructions, and come with hair done (including facial hair if applicable) and make-up complete. We also understand that you may not have every item that wardrobe requests, but again do your best to follow their instructions, and match the style/vibe that has been requested. You risk being sent home, WITHOUT PAY, if you do not follow the instructions to the best of your ability.

No super long or acrylic nails. Come with neutral nails or colors and a short or medium-length filed round. - MEN, hair should be clean, dry, and styled. Foundation, light blush, mascara, eyeliner & eyeshadow in neutral shades are all acceptable. Please have your personal lipstick and/or lipgloss options with you and a compact, and keep it with you during the shoot day for fast touchups between takes. No bright red lipstick. Hair should be clean, dry, and styled. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MAKEUP AND STYLING TOOLS with you to set. Hair and Makeup will NOT be available for the extras due to the limited manpower of the hair and make-up teams. - EVERYONE: If you happen to have any wigs at home, please feel free to bring them with you to discuss with the hair department alternate looks. - Understand that unless the scenes are present day, no exposed tattoos can be shown. We will cover as much as we can on the day. - Please remove all facial and ear piercings prior to coming in unless otherwise instructed differently by the costume department. We will be notified of the clearance. - Always come in prepared for any outdoor scene with sunscreen on. Apply sunscreen from home before doing your makeup and at the start of the day to any exposed skin. We will have artists walk around to adjust anyone’s looks, but everyone should be coming to BG holding camera ready. Our artists won’t have the time, especially on bigger days to apply full faces on anyone. If you’re coming in with a repeated look and costume, please come as you did before the artist added or adjusted your look so they can do the same thing again for continuity purposes. IF YOU ARE PLAYING A CHICAGO COP: **no facial piercings or jewelry can be shown, even earrings** MALES - Please have your hair cut short and clean. You MUST be clean-shaven, with no thin mustache or sideburns, and no visible tattoos; FEMALES - Please have hair pulled back or in a bun and no visible tattoos. No big lashes or fake nails. The only thing we cannot have visible on camera are EXISTING TATTOOS. All tats need full approval prior to going to on-camera. This is non-negotiable and super important per the Warner Brothers legal team. Even if someone says they have their clearance forms on the day, it doesn’t matter, so if someone has a tat visible even with wardrobe, etc, we MUST cover or alter it.
MASTER WEATHER CONDITIONS for FILMING: For all exterior days, please be prepared for cold weather, rain, frost, and even snow! We recommend you invest in and bring the following to ensure Safety & Personal Comfort : 1. Fleece or wool UNDER LAYERS such as thermals – tops, bottoms, socks! Wool is a good water-resistant option. Bring extras to change into in case you get wet. 2. WATERPROOF RAIN GEAR (i.e. Gortex) – Be prepared with SOCKS, PANTS & TOPS that can go under your costume. Raincoat/pant combo is best, but not the noisy kind to avoid sound issues) 3. SMALL BLACK UMBRELLAS that can be hidden in pockets between takes. 4. Bring COZY COATS to keep you warm and dry. Make sure you are comfortable putting it over your (painted, broken-down, built-up) costumes. 5. Bring a BLANKET (fleece/wool) for warmth between setups at the tent. 6. SWEATERS – black and loose-fitting that can add warmth, again, for your comfort. 7. BLACK BOOTS – warm and waterproof. You are always more comfortable wearing your own footwear over long periods of time. 8. GLOVES/MITTENS/HAND WARMERS – these can be quickly taken off and put in a pocket between takes (like the umbrellas. 9. HOT SHOTS – You can buy these at most stores such as Walmart, 3 Vets, Costco, Mark’s Work Warehouse, Canadian Tire, London Drugs, etc.
